Blame Canada('s Sikhs)

Canada’s problem with its Sikh minority should be of concern to Americans not just because Vancouver borders on the US, but for the broader lessons this story of ethnic conflict teaches. When a country imports an alien population, it often brings in all of the conflicts that bedeviled the immigrants in their homelands. Consequently, Western nations can get dragged into intractable conflicts that would otherwise be none of their business. Moreover, differences between the immigrant and host populations are likely to prove disruptive, even disastrous. Differences in history and culture pose difficulties enough, but most divisive are differences in nature. As long as we continue to ignore the possibility that there are biological differences among races that cause them to create different types of societies, we run the risk of importing populations that are prone to poverty and crime and hostile to white people and their values.

One could almost pity the plight of white supremacists these days. Their political influence has diminished greatly and their numbers are dwindling. A black man is the most powerful person in the world. Fearing public ostracization, they constantly have to ensure their words never betray their thoughts. In 2009, being a racist just isn't cool anymore. But that hasn't stopped this vocal minority from trying their best.

"White Pride" sites on the internet are full of rants against various ethnic and racial communities, blaming them for everything wrong with the world's economic, social and political woes. Usually, its African Americans, Hispanics or Jews that are targeted. Now it looks like the Sikhs have caught their attention.

Writing a racist commentary is more formulaic than a B-grade Bollywood film. The recipe is straight forward. Take one ethnic community and strip out all positive contributions to society. Then stretch all current social problems faced by the community and connect them directly to the downfall of civilization. Carefully euphemize any blatantly bigoted wording and finally surround in a warm layer of grass-roots concerned citizenary. Serve with an optional dose of sketchy credentials from never-heard-of-before educational institutions. An attention to facts and details is unnecessary.

Here's a sample what the site White America has to say in its piece entitled "The Sikhs of Vancouver" written by a Duncan Hengest (pen name) with the help of Gaurav Ahuja.
Today, however, Canada is in peril: the Canadian government is undermining the foundation of Canada’s tranquility by importing millions of Third World people.

I forgot to add "gloriously romanticize the past" to the recipe.
Not only are Sikhs responsible for a very disproportionate share of crime, but they are culturally incompatible with white Canadians and flex their political muscle in ways that harm white interests.
I could be wrong but Canada actually doesn't collect crime statistics based on faith group. Also, I wonder what cultural incompatibilities he refers to, considering most Tim Hortons are staffed by Punjabi Sikh women and Hockey Night in Canada is now broadcast in Punjabi.
To make sure things remained peaceful on the political front, Sikhs were prohibited from voting by law between 1908 and 1947. The peaceful balance collapsed in the 1960s. Canada succumbed to the self-destructive Zeitgeist that infected the rest of the Western world and eased immigration restrictions in 1967. The Sikhs began to pour in. Today, there are more than 130,000 Sikhs in British Columbia and nearly the same number spread through the rest of Canada.
So political disenfranchisement is the best way to maintain a peaceful balance? Sikhs must be a pretty disruptive group, if 260,000 citizens or 0.84% of a population (his numbers) can hold an entire nation captive with its anti-social behaviour.
White Canadians may have reason to fear further attacks as anti-white hatred appears to be common among Sikhs.

I wasn't able to find a single case of this online. That doesn't mean it doesn't happen, but this is grossly exaggerated. Just ask any user of Fair and Lovely how much we admire light-coloured skin. Never mind the fact that Sikhism is a faith group with adherents from all races.
If they understood their own interests, white Canadian politicians would pound the table for immigration restriction. As has happened elsewhere, no matter how much white politicians scrape and grovel to non-whites, they are replaced as soon as minorities can muster the votes.
I've heard many claims that immigrants are taking the jobs of local truck drivers, cab drivers and construction works, but never politicians.

So while I encourage readers to post their comments on this site regarding their thoughts on the article and what the Sikh response should be, I also encourage you to post on the White America website and see if we can engage in a constructive dialogue there as well. Also feel free to email Mr "Hengest" directly.
