The greatest gift you can give in life is hope. Manni founded a charity called 'Hope & Compassion' that works with other organisations abroad to improve the lives of children with Special Educational Needs and their families living in poverty in developing countries.
We were honored when asked to cover her wedding, as we knew how powerful it would be. After the Sikh Ceremony in the UK, she had a Mendhi Ki Raat and Reception Party for the kids at Pingalwara in Amritsar, India.
The Children at Pingalwara represent something so raw and powerful that amongst them you understand the failings of society at the same time embracing the spirit that binds us all. We are all HUMAN BEINGS regardless of sex or disability. Every child deserves a chance at life. To be happy, smiling, having someone that cares. Their future lies in our hands.
Filming these kids was one of the most rewarding experiences I've ever had.
